Re: Dream interpretation
I think dream interpretation is bs. It is just a business or something useless, just like the horoscope. Obvious things or redundant conclusions.
The other day just for curiosity I saw a program about it, and I almost die laughing because the conclusions and the interpretation was really stupid. And people believed every single word. I wanted to see if they called later to see it was a farce, but I didn't want to waste my time anymore.
Do you believe in dream interpretation, CK? (for short, ha ha! Call me ME )

Re: Dream interpretation
Hi!
Dreams are a series of scenes taking place in our brain which associate memories, ideas, concepts, feelings, sensations and expectations, basically all of them stored in our subconscious. We have from to 2 to 6 dreams a night, I once read, and they happen during the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) phase of our sleep.
As far as I know, when you remember what you dreamt it's because you didn't sleep well as your sleep cycle was interrupted. No matter how pleasing the dream was, your whole process was disrupted. Sorry about that.
I personally believe Dream Interpretation is a neither accurate nor standard, because every person associates concepts in a different way. For example, deep in your subconscious there could be a clown ... However, for me a clown is a synonym of hatred (thank you Stephen King for your IT), whereas for someone else it could be a synonym of children parties, or even a synonym of hamburguers. Yuck.
So, to make the long story short, those symbols or items in our dreams are very personal, and their interpretation in everyone's life is way too personal. And the least they can do is to predict a future, because they're just associations of things that are just likely - not certain - to happen.
That's my opinion... But it would be interesting to find out more about that!

Ha! Scientific explanations and yours!
Today I had a strange dream then I remembered this thread. If that dream were a prediction, I would be really scared!
