It's Winter Time! :'(
Along with seasonal changes, it's no secret that there's been a devastating winter worldwide.
Thailand's going through a painful series of floods, which have destroyed lots of homes and taken more than 250 lives away.
In countries like Colombia the situation's not different. While in cities like Bogotá there are partial floods and landslides, there are other towns and cities seriously affected. The number of people who have passed away has overcome the 50s, and there's more to come - until Febrary, the IDEAM says. Other cities, like Armenia, lack drinkable water as a result of landslides which havve affected the water distribution system.
Are you personally prepared for winter? Has it affected the region where you live?
How can your family get prepared?

I've got my umbrella,
I know for some people it's very difficult the winter situation. I hope they don't have major complications!

I hope so, as well. Sadly, this weather's so unpredictable. And neither the government nor many families took steps to prevent even though they had the time and resources. It seems this rainy season will be worse than last year, so thinking of possible strategies to cope with disaster may help. For instance, some people take for granted that an emergency kit can be helpful after a natural phenomenon's taken place, in order to avoid health issues.
One which is harder is moving out if you're in a remarkably risky place.
