Top 10 Films of 2011
While I'm fond of films, I haven't got much time to see them.
I can also tell you I don't like FOX at all - Well, only a few series, but most of them as well as their news show are
They've just published a list with the Top10 Films of the year which has just culminated. (That sounded romantic ), which is as follows:
10. Winnie the Pooh
9. The Descendants
8. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
7. Moneyball
6. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
5. The Debt
4. Super 8
3. Midnight in Paris
2. The Artist
1. Hugo
Which of them did I see? NONE!
Perhaps you may agree with this list or, on the contrary, feel a gap as your favourite film wasn't in there.
I would agree a lot more with
BBC's Top 10 Films of 2011.
10. Rise of the Planet of the Apes
9. Margin Call
8. The Tree of Life
7. Beginners
6. War Horse
5. Moneyball
4. Hugo
3. The Artist
2. The Descendants
1. We Need To Talk About Kevin
What's your opinion about these lists? Is there any other film which should be included? Which of these films do you disagree with?
Wow! It seems I missed lots of good films!

Re: Top 10 Films of 2011
I have to admit 2011 wasn't the year I went to the cinema. I think I saw The Lion King 3D (Which, I also have to confess, I haven't seen before). And by now I don't remember other films I've seen OMG :O
I hope this year I could go more to the cinema to enjoy it

Was The Kion King worth watching in 3D? I remember I saw Toy Story in 3D and, honestly, I wasn't very impressed. I think, however, that films like the one I saw last weekend would be incredible in IMAX!
My favourite from the second list is Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I think it was a great and well-made film! I liked the plot, which was a clever way to explain why our planet is dominated by apes later on.
I hope to see The Tree of Life and The Descendants, which are drama. Also, I'd like to see War Horse. I'm not into fantasy, so Hugo's not my cup of tea.

Re: Top 10 Films of 2011
I'm reading Paulo Cohelo's Victoria Decides To Die. It's a terrific novel that makes you reflect. A girl who's desperate gets into a mental hospital. When she thought she was crazy, she discovers her situation is nothing compared to other people's situations, which inspires her to have another vision of life. I recommend this book as well as this writer!

Hey, Gulabgang!
Thank you very much for your contribution to the discussion, and welcome to the forum!
My students have told me about this book, Veronika Decides To Die. It seems it's got a gripping plot. In fact, Mr Cohelo's books are total page-turners.
Seriously, I hope to get the book in English next week. I also hope to hear from you very soon, dear Gulabgang!
