Hello- greetings from the new "neighbour"
Hi, my name is Catherine. I'm 28 years old and I work as a lawyer in a public institution* of the District of Bogotá. I love films -like a lot of people- and music -also like a lot of people-, and I am a christian who loves her God and her country.
I was looking forward to learn english properly, because I tried to learn on my own (and I got as far as I could) but I need structures and solid foundations to use the language correctly. Maybe that's why I have some problems with very basic topics like modal verbs, phrasal verbs, conditionals, the writing of this message and so on (I might know some words and expressions, but not the kind of word or expression they are), so I must study harder than the others (you know, Google helps, but it's not enough. Besides, classes are a big help). Basically, I want and NEED to learn.
Well, that would be all for now, I think. Thank you, and God bless you all.

*Help! How do you say "entidad del Distrito" in english?

Welcome along, Catherine! We're so pleased to have you here!
Thank you for accepting the challenge of joining the family so that we can support one another in this exciting process of learning and boosting our language skills!
I hope we can help you with the topics and issues you've mentioned in a practical way.
By the way... Entidad del distrito would be a local institution, as the word district would have another connotation.
May God bless you, as well!
